Corpus Christi church teams up with fashion designers, models for community runway show
Solid Rock Church hosting fashion show, annual women’s conference on May 3
(CORPUS CHRISTI, TX) – A church stage will transform into a catwalk as hundreds of women gather for a fashion show featuring styles from Coastal Bend-area clothing and jewelry designers and boutiques. It’s all part of a full evening of activities designed to inspire and empower Corpus Christi women.
On Friday, May 3, Solid Rock Church will welcome women of all ages at their annual Live & Love Women’s Conference. The evening kicks off with the fashion show, hosted by PowerUp.org spotlighting clothing, jewelry, and accessories designed or sold by Corpus Christi-area talent, including original designs from Chels Marie Boutique by Chelsea Nye, BNS Silk Design by Chau Hoang, Lott’s of Art by Evelyn Cooper, Jenn E’s Boutique by Jennifer Gamboa Eason, WAPA by Roxana Gomez, Touch Stone Crystal by Swarovski by Rocio Garza, and Senorita Sparkle by Rebekah Rangel. Sarah Christina Estrada from Styled by Sarah is the stylist for the fashion show. Hair and make-up artists from The Strand Institute of Beauty and Esthetics, Regis Salon at La Palmera Mall, and Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant – Noemi Garza come to support volunteer models for the show.
Praise, worship and a motivational message from guest speaker Pastor Christina Segundo of Family Faith Center in Big Spring, Texas, will follow, and an after party is set to include local vendors, door prizes, food trucks, chocolate fountains, desserts and photo booths.
Live & Love is free and open to the public.
