However, I have always loved this song: A River Flows In You by Robin Meloy Goldsby from Waltz of the Asparagus People. Discovered it on Pandora.

I decided to take a piano class and perhaps make it my goal to one day be able to play this beautiful song. I love the version by Robin Meloy Goldsby. It’s so fun and alive! Like Magic to my entire being.
The lesson was hilarious! 🙂 Apparently, this song is very advanced, that there was NO WAY I was going to be able to learn anything even remotely close to a few notes. However, Garrett, my music teacher was so gracious and even showed me a cool trick on youtube called ‘synthesia‘. It’s like guitar hero for piano! WOW! I was so excited to see that I could learn at my own pace at home. YAY!
We then switched gears and he gave me an intro piano lesson to get me started on proper piano techniques that I will need to be able to play this song in the future.
BONUS: While I was leaving, there was a little girl coming in for a guitar lesson and her guitar was Coco’s guitar! I had to take a pic! 🙂
BONUS +1: A little tune by Garrette, the music teacher at Musicians Academy in Corpus Christi
